Palace Imports manufactures furniture exclusively from 100% solid wood. Solid wood is an exceptional material, valued for its aesthetic appeal, durability, and ease of repair. As a natural product, it possesses unique physical characteristics that make each piece one of a kind, often displaying slight imperfections.

These imperfections are especially noticeable in the raised panel doors, which are assembled from five parts. They are designed with tolerances to accommodate the natural expansion and contraction of solid wood in response to seasonal changes in temperature and humidity, thereby preventing cracking. This tolerance can appear as a slight gap between the panel and the frame.

Paint also expands and contracts, but at a different rate than the wood, which can make these gaps appear more pronounced. While MDF, a man-made material, may give furniture a "perfect" appearance, Palace Imports is committed to using only natural, 100% solid wood materials.

We bought this side table after buying the matching dresser for our son. No issue with assembly but put together without power tools to avoid wood damage. I know it will last for decades to come.

Love everything about this beautiful night stand. Excellent packaging, no damage whatsoever, all of the pieces were included and labeled. The box was not humungous, & took only 2 hours to complete, with no cursing from hubby!!! I replaced the knobs to dress it up a bit. The drawers glide nicely… perfect addition to a bedroom!

This is a great product. All the parts fit well and the instructions were easy to follow. The only issue I had was tightening the screws as there were no pilot holes so I had to put a lot of pressure on each screw to start it. Other than that it looks nice and works really well.

These nightstands are my third purchase of Palace Imports products.They are made of solid pine, very sturdy, and the hardware is first rate, the drawers move very smoothly and have stops to keep them from accidentally being pulled out.They take some work to put together, but the directions are very well written.

I have tried so many nightstands over the years to try to match my son's furniture and all were too redish, too light, or too dark. This piece is perfect! It was easy to assemble, I was able to complete the whole assembly by myself with only a screwdriver and hammer. The piece is sturdy and the drawers work well. I would definitely buy again.

Very happy with this purchase. I was able to assemble alone in under 1 hour, and it looks very nice! I have to say it is not “ solid wood” as stated, it is solid wood planks with the laminate over the top, I am not complaining as it seems much more durable than the particle board furniture nowadays. I will definitely be buying the dresser to match!

As a 50-year-old male with experience assembling similar furniture, I found this project easy but with issues.The box was impossible to open without destroying it. There was plenty of quality hardware with random extra screws included. Assembly only required a hammer and screwdriver, although I would highly recommend using an electric screwdriver as there are over 60 screws to install.The illustrated directions are easy to understand. There are no written instructions. So be highly conscious of what the illustrations are showing.Step 3: Directions show to place the partially assembled product on blocks; double stacking parts 1 and 2 provides the perfect height and does not damage the parts.Step 4: The backboard (part 15) requires eighteen nails to be hammered into a very narrow ledge. It would have been beneficial to have markings on part 15 to indicate the specific line the nails need to be placed upon. Be cautious the nails are driven straight so as not to deviate from the narrow ledge.Step 5: Pilot holes would have been helpful so as not to split the soft wood. Pay particular attention to the orientation of parts throughout this step. The A42 screws need to finish flush so the drawers roll smoothly.The nightstand's design exceeded other similar products. It is sturdy and should last a long time.

I bought two of these, the first one went together well and looks good. The second went together well also but on further inspection the drawer were on an downward angle to the left side ( I saw a review which warned of this). I will have to dissemble it and try to correct this which is not my favorite pastime, but it looks dumpy all crooked. You might get a good one and you may get one that's just not quite right. To be fair I did not contact the seller. I find its just too hard and economically unsound to return big items like this once unpacked. One note all the parts were there and it was very well packed, just the drawer problem.UPDATE: These units also easily scratch and nick.

The drawer was shipped promptly and arrived within a few days. Packaging was very good, double boxed, no damage was done to the item.I bought the chest in mahogany finish, the actual color was very close as seen on the picture in amazon store.All parts are made of real wood, except for drawers bottoms which are plywood (naturally).Instructions and assembly were very straight forward, only hammer and phillips screw driver were required. I used power drill/screwdriver that speed up the entire process.I bought 2 of these drawer chests, one had misaligned predrilled holes for the part #10 from the schematics. I had to re-drill and apply some carpenter glue just to make sure it does not get loose. Second night stand did not have any issues.In summary, this night stand worth the money I paid. Although it looks cheap and the drawers are not the smoothest, all 'n all I am pretty happy with it.
